ABSTRACT:
the present study focuses on the awareness of the rural homemakers regarding food adulteration and its detection. The finding of the study revealed that 50%(15) of the home makers had poor knowledge regarding food adulteration there was significant association of knowledge level with selected socio demographic variables i.e. education and occupation. The study concludes that a better informed public supported by effective health information would he lp people to make better food choices and prevent food borne illness.
